In short

Mise à Sec is a drinking card game played in a group around a single phone. It runs on your device, with no account; only the ad banner needs a connection.

The publisher collects no data. The app has no server and uses no account or analytics. It is free, funded by a Google AdMob banner: the only third-party service it contacts (see “Advertising”).

Data stored on your device

So that you don’t have to type everything again and can resume an interrupted game, the app keeps on your device, and nowhere else:

  • your settings: language, sounds, vibrations, animations, four-color deck and game options;
  • the confirmation of your age;
  • your ad consent choices, kept by Google’s SDK;
  • the names and emojis of the players of the last game;
  • the game in progress, to resume it if the phone closes the app;
  • the evening’s totals (sips or points of each player), used by the limit per player and cleared after 12 hours or with “New evening”.

This data never leaves the device. Uninstalling the app, or clearing the site data in the browser for the web version, deletes it.

Sharing

“Invite friends” and sharing the game summary open your phone’s share sheet: you choose the app and the recipients, and that app sends the message. Mise à Sec transmits nothing itself. The summary contains the names entered and the scores of the game. On the web, when there is no share sheet, the text is copied to the clipboard.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

A Google AdMob banner is shown at the bottom of some screens (home, players, rules, passing the phone, summary), never while you choose your answer. To select and measure it and to fight fraud, Google receives technical data from the device: IP address, model, operating system, language, interactions with the ad and, if you allow it, the advertising identifier.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent message is shown on first launch: you can accept or refuse personalized ads, then change your choice with the “Manage my ad choices” button on this page. On iPhone, iOS also asks for tracking permission; refusing it does not prevent you from playing.

Google processes this data as an independent controller, under its own rules: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

Permissions

  • Vibration: haptic feedback during the game, which can be turned off in the settings.
  • Keeping the screen on during a game.
  • Internet access: loading the ad banner.
  • Advertising identifier: on Android, a permission added by Google’s SDK; on iPhone, tracking permission requested once.

No sensitive permission is requested: no camera, microphone, location or contacts.

Audience

Mise à Sec is reserved for adults of legal drinking age in their country. It is not intended for minors and collects no data about them.

Stores

Google Play and the App Store, which distribute the app, may collect data when it is downloaded and used (account, device, install statistics, crash reports) under their own privacy policies. The publisher only receives aggregated statistics from them and, if you agreed to it in your phone’s settings, anonymous crash reports.

Your rights

The publisher holds no data about you: everything stays on your device, under your control. For the data received by Google, see https://policies.google.com/privacy; you can also reset or delete the advertising identifier in your phone’s settings. For any question: support@tequi.app. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (https://www.cnil.fr).

Changes

This policy changes with the app. The date below shows its last revision.
